Alex Cooper's 'Call Her Daddy' Seals $100M Deal

Alex Cooper, host of Spotify's second-most-listened-to podcast, Call Her Daddy, has signed a major $100 million deal with SiriusXMMalibu Hardest Hit.

T he multi-year agreement grants SiriusXM exclusive rights to ad sales, distribution, and content creation for the popular, celebrity-packed relationship and sex advice show starting in 2024.

As part of the deal, SiriusXM will also manage content from Cooper’s production company, Unwell Network, known for shows like Hot Mess with Alix Earle and Pretty Lonesome with Madeline Argy. Additionally, premium subscribers to SiriusXM Podcasts will be able to enjoy Call Her Daddy ad-free. While specific details of the podcast production process haven’t been disclosed, SiriusXM has confirmed that exclusive content will begin streaming next year

In 2023, Call Her Daddy was the second-biggest podcast on Spotify, trailing only The Joe Rogan Experience and ranking as the top show aimed at women. By Q2 2024, it was the fourth-biggest podcast in the U.S., behind Rogan, Crime Junkie, and The Daily according to Edison Research. Sirius, which also owns Pandora, plans to leverage its full platform to further engage Cooper’s fanbase, known as the "Daddy Gang." Cooper expressed her excitement about the partnership, saying, "I'm so beyond excited to work with SiriusXM. We're always coming up with new ways for the Daddy Gang, and SiriusXM will help us keep innovating for my listeners."

Previously, Cooper signed a $60 million deal with Spotify in 2021, giving the streamer exclusive rights to Call Her Daddy for three years. Earlier this year, SiriusXM also inked a deal worth over $100 million for the SmartLess podcast, hosted by Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes.

Cooper launched Call Her Daddy in 2018 with co-host Sofia Franklyn, focusing on relationship and sex advice. The podcast took off after being picked up by Barstool Sports, though Franklyn eventually exited after a contract dispute. The show’s popularity has skyrocketed, thanks to high-profile guests like Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Christina Aguilera.

Beyond podcasting, Cooper has expanded her presence with projects like hosting NBC's "Watch with Alex Cooper" during the Paris Olympics and even took her podcast to Paris for segments that included an interview with 11-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles
